About

Why this site exists

Humanoid robots are slowly moving from laboratories into factories, logistics, service environments and, eventually, other everyday spaces. robots-ia.fr tracks that shift seriously, without disguised advertising and without empty hype.

Starting point

A social change is already beginning

A humanoid robot matters not only because of its shape. It becomes important when it starts entering places built around human gestures, human tools and human rhythms.

When a machine enters those spaces with two arms, vision and some autonomy, it changes more than a task. It affects how we think about work, service, assistance and responsibility.

Editorial goal

Make the topic readable

The sector produces polished images, spectacular demonstrations and ambitious promises. The site puts what is shown, what is officially published and what remains unanswered next to each other.

A missing price, runtime, payload or release date is not hidden. A technical gap is already useful information about the real maturity of a robot.

Editorial stance

Neither fascination nor dismissal

The debate often swings between two extremes: immediate revolution or pure marketing. Both make it harder to see what is actually changing.

The site treats robots as industrial, economic and social objects. The same model can be a technology showcase, a production tool, a research platform or an incomplete product. The point is not to confuse those levels.

Method

Show what is public

  • Keep published figures when they really exist.
  • Clearly mark data that has not been disclosed.
  • Separate pilot, pre-order, prototype, concept and commercial status.
  • Compare concrete use cases instead of generic talk about a universal robot.

Social question

The topic goes beyond technology

Behind every profile sits a larger question: which gestures do we want to delegate, in which places, with what level of control, safety and dependence on proprietary systems?

The site does not try to celebrate that shift or reject it by default. It tries to make it understandable.
